We read your code.
Not your résumé.
An AI-native services company from Disruptive Ventures. If you got an email from us, it wasn't random. We found you through your code. If you found your way here yourself: even better. Read on.
Three ways in.
We recommend you to companies in our network.
We only work with Swedish tech companies where AI development is the core, not a side function. By the time we introduce you, we've already done the legwork: we know what they're looking for, and we know why you fit.
You join us full-time and rotate across projects.
We have our own build team that drops in where it's needed: portfolio companies, partners, internal bets. You come in on specific pieces: an agent, a pipeline, an integration. The assignments shift; the relationship doesn't.
You join a group that's already building.
However you came in, you land in a context. Shared tools, shared experiences, ongoing conversations. Not a Slack forum. A professional society.

We read your code
before we got in touch.
We don't take applications. Instead, we look in open code, across 89,000 Swedish developer profiles, for signals that hold up. Code quality consistent over time. AI usage deep enough to show up in tooling, setup, and structure, not just in words.
That's the foundation that makes us reach out. If you got a message, it isn't because of something you claim on a CV. It's because your code says something we recognize.
Based on configuration files, tooling, and project structure in open code. Reveals deep AI usage, not self-reported competence.
Operators,
not recruiters.

Most of the people who reach out to you are recruiters. We're operators. People who've sat on the other side of the table. Built product. Scaled teams. The three running the AI bet at Disruptive Ventures all come from Google, where they built things billions of people use. Now they're building here instead.

Serge Lachapelle
Built a video-comms startup that Google acquired. Came along and stayed. As Product Director at Google he was responsible for Google Meet, Hangouts, and WebRTC, communication tech that billions of people use daily. Co-founder and CTO at DV since 2025. Now building the AI infrastructure that we and the portfolio companies run on.

Henrik “Limpan” Lindahl
Started programming at 13. Worked at Hans Rosling's Gapminder and built Trendalyzer, the visualization tool Google acquired in 2007. Came along and stayed for 19 years, first on public data and Google Search in the US, most recently on Google Meet in Stockholm. Engineering Lead at DV since 2026. Met the team while he and a friend were building a battery park out of scrapped EV batteries, which says quite a lot.

Cassie Gustafsson
Came from Google where she worked on leadership and culture. Thinks of people and AI as the same question: how do you recruit when the tools change every month, how do you build teams that actually use AI instead of just talking about it? At DV she's usually the one who makes sure you land in the right place if you join the network.
AI Engineers is built from within Disruptive Ventures, an operational AI-driven investor that builds tech companies rather than just funding them. That means a dozen portfolio companies under active operation, a team that embeds in their day-to-day, and a track record of exits and IPOs, including StudentConsulting, Codemill, and Vaccina.
That's why AI Engineers isn't a recruitment firm. It's a delivery organization built by people who have run companies themselves, with backup from an organization that does it professionally.
